As an avid blogger, I have noticed that there are times that I just cannot come up with topics. It is hard at times. However; I found the best ways finally to constantly come up with topics to write on. In this blog, we are going to talk about the importance of signing up for newsletters and what the bonuses are when you sign up for them.

Gain a Constant Flow of Ideas

Newsletters can help you in many ways. First off, they can be very informative to those that read them in their entirety. You will find that at times you will actually be able to write an article on a newsletter that you have read.

Plus, at times you will find that there is going to be snippets of useful information on topics that you can expand on, and create your blog. Or, you sometimes you will find that they will give you an idea of an article or blog just by something like a quote or a link that is in the newsletter.

Benefits of Having a Newsletter

So often there are links and other ways to gain access to other places that you can join to gain not only web traffic, gain email subscribers and also have the ability to talk with others about ideas or topics that you can write about.

Or you may find that the writer of the newsletter may ask you to write a piece or 2 for the newsletter that will give you the exposure that you need as a writer and a blogger. A lot of the time if that happens there are going to be times that they are going to tell that it is not a paying position. However; that is not always the case.

It is important to take the time if they ask you to write a column for their newsletter you gain the expectations and if it is a paying position and if there is a way that you can use the work that you do for them in your writer’s portfolio. By asking these questions you will know what is expected and if they will let you use your work in your portfolio. 

Blogging Tips Part 23: Top 3 Tips for Managing Your Time Wisely

Being a freelance writer you are going to find that you are going to have several projects going on several times a month. Some are going to be large and some are going to be small. However; the one thing to keep in mind is that you need to manage your time wisely.

You will find that when you have your busy times in your writing career you are definitely going to need to learn how to manage your time wisely otherwise you are going to become overwhelmed and burnt out. Don’t let that happen to you. In this blog, we are going to discuss 3 tips that will help you manage your time better so that you can get more work done over time without overwhelming yourself.

Stay Within Your Niche

It may sound like you are taking the easy way out. But staying within your niche is smart when managing your time. The reason that you may want to consider doing this to manage time, is because it is something that you either know enough about that you do not need to do research. Or it is something that you have personal knowledge about and you have studied the topic before.

By doing these 2 things you literally can save yourself a ton of time to work on other projects when you have several clients.

Set Time Limits on Each Project

Having several clients at one time can be difficult. However, there is a way that you can not only make sure that everyone’s project is completed and on time. Making sure that you divide your time evenly with each project is key. If you have 3 clients and you have a 24-hour turnaround with just one client and the others can wait a day or two. Focus on getting the 24-hour project done first. A lot of the time the client is going to pay you a bonus for getting the project done before the 24-hour deadline. 

From there you try and divide the time between the 2 projects that are left. Just make sure that you take into account the fact that you may have a few surprises come up so make sure you give yourself a little extra time for the just in case you have to add something to your projects that you did not have to before. You are going to have clients that will ask you to add some things to the project, so make sure you add time for that.

Don’t Take on More Than You Can Handle

One thing that a lot of new freelance writers tend to do is get overwhelmed with all of the projects that they are doing. One thing to always think about is how much you think that you can handle. You will have weeks where you are looking for more to do. Then there are going to be weeks where you are going to have just enough and then there are going to be weeks were there is just too much work for you to do.

Try and keep yourself even. Try and find a medium where you feel comfortable. If you know that you are going to have a large project coming up, it is a good thing to just take that one project do not take too much on. However; if you know that you are going to have small projects take the time and try and figure out how much time it is going to take you for each project. Managing your time is critical when you have several no matter who you are.

Blogging Tips Part 22 How Get Traffic Through Search Engines

If you are like any writer, you always want to make sure you place on the search engines in the Top 10 at least. But some of you are just not getting to that point yet. So, what can you do to make sure that you place on the Top 10 on the search engines that people use to look topics up? In this blog on Blogging Tips we are going to go over the 5 Steps to follow to make sure that you get the traffic you deserve through search engines

Now some of this may seem like common sense however; you would be surprised as to how many of us as a writer forget 1 or 2 of these steps all because we are in a hurry to get our work out there for our audience to read. So, make sure that you follow each one of these steps and you will find that you will do better with your search engine audience.

Write a solid piece

When writing your blogs about your topics take the time and make sure that all of the information that you put in them is correct. So often you find that there are people that will put information in their blogs that do not have updated information in them. Plus, by taking the time to make sure you add photos in with your work is a plus it has been proven that people like click on your blog if you have photos to go along with your work.

Backinks to Your Recent Work

As you are writing your new blogs keep in mind your previous ones that you have had published. If you can think of a way to use one of the titles to your old work and add the backlink to your new blog that is one way that you can increase your traffic greatly. So just because it is already published it does not mean that it is done gaining an audience. You will find that you will have a lot of traffic that are going to go to your links as well which will give you 2 or more clicks with just one visitor to your blog. So, make sure that you keep your past work in mind when writing.

Use a Question in your Description

After taking the time to write your blog the next big thing is to take the time and fill out your description for all of the search engines that people are going to use. By using a question in your description and putting your sub headers in the description you will find that you will gain a larger amount of people to your blog.  It is truly something so simple that you can do within seconds.

Put a Question in the Title

If at all possible try and come up with a question for your blog that you are working on. Search engines like Google and Bing pick up on questions that your readers ask better than anything else. So if at all possible take the time and think of a question that you can use. But if you cannot it is okay there are going to be times that questions are not possible.

Summarize in First Paragraph

Most bloggers forget when they are writing that it is the first paragraph that their viewers read that make them want to read more, or leave to read the next bloggers information. It is imperative that you take the time and summarize what you are going to discuss in your bog the first paragraph. Summarize what you are going to cover in 40 to 55 words. By doing that you are going to catch their attention right away.

You will find that by doing these 5 things before you publish your blog you will gain a larger number of viewers to your blog on a daily basis.

Sounds silly, but again this is something that works. This is a good way to gain local traffic to your blog because they know that they can come to your blog to get local event information. The more information that you offer in your newsletter/blog the more traffic you are going to gain.

It is a good practice to take some time for your subscribers. Take some time and write a blog about your readers and in your blog let them know that if they have any questions or topics that they would like to see covered to let you know. By doing that you are showing your readers that you care about them.

Using a guest blogger periodically, is important as well. By using them you can show off their talent, as well as increase your visibility online because when they post to your blog they are going to share it with their friends and family as well. To my readers this blog is short and sweet and to the point. There is not too much to say other than to please use common sense, and be careful when dealing with the stock market.

As a new investor, it is smart to do your homework on any company that you are considering when it comes to buying stocks on the stock market. However, there are a few things that should be common knowledge when purchasing a company’s stock.

It sounds like common knowledge for a lot of people, but you would be surprised as to how many people do not do their homework and know the background of the companies that they purchase stocks in. It is so important to know the background on all of your companies that way you do not take a chance in losing all of the money that you invest into the companies.

Take Marginal Risks Once and While

As an investor on the stock market it is always in your best interest to watch any of the stocks that you purchase and then over time if you want to invest in the unknown stock that was a risk before and you see that they are doing really good, then if you feel that it would benefit you in the end to invest in the new stock then take a marginal risk and only invest in a few stocks not a large number of them. As we have gone through the Blogging Tips Segment we have gone over how to write an engaging piece, what people look for when hiring a freelance writer. Now in this segment we are going to go over what to write. There are days where no matter what you think of it just does not seem to be interesting enough for others to want to read it. However, you would be surprised as to how many people will read the things that you do not think is reading worthy.

There are times that you are going to find that it is going to be the things you think that they are not going to be interested it. Even if you have just a blog entry is actually a journal entry on how your day is going. Sometimes it is the personal stories that you post periodically that make your blog real for people that way they know that it is a real person.
